1) Agreement

By accessing or using HeiyuQuiz (the “Service”) you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, do not use the Service.

2) The Service

• Play or host short quizzes and view results.
• Some questions are generated with AI (OpenAI). Content may contain inaccuracies; use for entertainment only.
• No account is required. You may enter a display name to submit a quiz.

3) Acceptable use

• Don’t attempt to hack, scrape, overload, or disrupt the Service.
• Don’t post names or content that’s illegal, hateful, harassing, or infringing.
• No automated submissions or cheating tools.

4) Intellectual property

The Service, software, and branding are owned by HeiyuQuiz and its licensors. You may not copy or modify any part of the Service except as permitted by law. You keep any rights you have in content you submit (e.g., team names) but grant us a non-exclusive license to display it in the quiz.

5) AI & Content warnings

AI-generated questions and answers can be wrong or outdated. Use your own judgment. We may remove or replace content at any time.

6) Results & persistence

Results and “My answers” are provided as a convenience. We try to keep links active while a quiz is open and for a period afterward, but availability is not guaranteed.

7) Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

8) Third-party services

We rely on providers such as Supabase (database), OpenAI (question generation), Google AdSense (ads). Their terms/policies apply to their services.

9) Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied (including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement).

10) Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, HeiyuQuiz and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, or loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from or relating to the Service. Our total liability for any claim will not exceed €50.

11) Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access at any time for any reason, including breach of these Terms or abuse.

12) Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted. Continued use means you accept the updated Terms.

13) Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ireland. Courts in Ireland have exclusive jurisdiction, except where local consumer laws provide otherwise.
